When you are shipping goods, you know that a Proof of Delivery (POD) is a very important document. It registers the name of the person who signed for the delivery of certain goods, the date and time that the goods have been handed over to the receiver, as well as a personal signature or company stamp of the receiver.
For legal or tax purposes, you are required to keep this POD data available for several years. If the receiver has not signed for receipt or if the POD is lost, the receiver can dispute the product invoice and claim that the products were not received. In this case, you are unable to defend their claim.
